Marco and Mai Ling planned large scale corporate events for work and intimate gatherings for friends and families for nearly a decade, but it wasn't until our wedding that we were inspired to formally create MaiCo Events & Experiences.
In our own wedding planning process, we encountered many challenges along the way that tested our patience as well as our wallets and grew frustrated by vendors taking advantage of couples desperate to create a once in a lifetime event. After receiving absurd quotes from various esteemed vendors, we learned to dig deeper, scour locally, and find vendors with honest affordable prices comparable to the ones locals received. In our persistence, determination, and anything-is-possible mentality, we successfully stayed on budget, schedule, and had the wedding of our dreams.
But, we knew we weren’t the only ones out there struggling with this. Fueled by our passion for helping people and our love for bringing joy into the world, we were inspired to create a company dedicated to planning dream destination weddings and events. Our goal is to make these special occasions stress-free and affordable, ensuring everyone can have the celebration of their dreams.
Our combined expertise in the market allows us to offer a full suite of services, including wedding planning, day-of event coordination, pre and post-wedding weekend event coordination, photobooth & 360 video rental, babysitting, travel logistics, itinerary coordination, and personalized gifts and favors.
Based in Brescia, with a strong affinity for the Lakes District (Lake Garda, Lake Iseo, Lago Maggiore, and Lake Como), Cinque Terre, Tuscany, and Umbria, we proudly specialize in Northern Italy but are excited to help you plan your event in all regions of the country. On top of those regions, we have an extensive list of budget-friendly venues across Rome, Venice, Puglia, and Amalfi Coast ready to share.

Born and raised in Italy, Marco's deep regional roots and extensive network enable him to source unique vendors, adding authentic Italian charm to your event. With years of experience at a large multinational company, he managed numerous projects and supplier relationships worldwide. Marco’s greatest strengths are his excellent problem-solving skills, obsession with organization, and ability to make people feel at ease in a high-stress environment to ensure smooth event execution.

An American based in Italy, Mai Ling brings a detail-oriented approach and a rigorous American work ethic to the table. With a successful career as a TV and film producer on multi-million dollar sets, she has seamlessly translated her producing skills to the event space approaching event as a story to be told. Mai Ling’s Virgo-level attention to detail ensures that every event is planned to perfection and executed with passion as if it were her own.
